FAQs
How quickly can a developer get started with the Kudosity API?
You can get up and running with Kudosity in roughly two minutes. The initial process involves three simple steps:
Create a Kudosity Account
Get your API Key and Secret
Send an SMS
Which API version should I use for a new project, and why is it recommended?
You should use TransmitMessage (V2) (api.transmitmessage.com) for all new builds. V2 is the recommended choice because it is the only API that natively supports modern features like MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service), WhatsApp, and RCS (Rich Communication Services)
What advanced messaging channels are available, and what are their benefits?
Kudosity supports advanced communication channels including MMS, WhatsApp Business Messaging, and RCS Business Messaging. These channels allow for rich media, offer verified business profiles (by Meta or Google), and often include smart delivery fallback to SMS if the primary channel fails
What is the purpose of Webhooks, and what is the primary security requirement for using them?
Webhooks allow your application to receive real-time notifications about key messaging events, such as when a message is delivered (DELIVERED), a recipient opts out (OPT_OUT), or an inbound message is received. For security, all webhook URLs must use HTTPS.
How does Kudosity support AI development and code generation?
Kudosity recently launched the MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, an open standard that allows AI assistants (like Claude Desktop) and AI-powered editors to directly explore and execute Kudosity APIs. This enables real-time API exploration, documentation search, and automated code generation for seamless integration
